OVERVIEW

A  private pilot license (PPL) is a type of pilot license that permits the holder to act as a pilot of an aircraft but not for remuneration.

ELIGIBILITY/BASIC REQUIREMENT

  1. Minimum Age:17
  2. Educational Qualification: shall have passed Class Ten or equivalent Examination from a recognized board.
  3. Medicaal Fitness: Class 1/2 Medical.

  4. Air Regulation
  5. Technical Specific

*including a flight of not less than one hundred and fifty nautical miles in the course of which full stop landings at two different aerodromes shall have been made

*not less than 5 hours of solo flight time completed within a period of 12 month preceding date of application for the issue of licensee.

Step 1: Apply For Computer Number & Egca ID

The computer number is a permanent and unique number for each candidate. It is associated with all your flying logs and medicals

Create an New Account- New Registration

Navigate to the Relevant Section- Fill up the details, Upload the documents, pay the fees , send the documents to DGCA

Step 2: Get Your Medicals Done

Visit EGCA website

Apply for class I or class II medical appointment

Once Medical tests are done upload the Tests on EGCA portal

Get your Medical assessment online.

Step 3: Prepare For Ground Classes

The DGCA CPL Ground Classes are a mandatory requirement for becoming a commercial pilot in India. It includes both theoretical and practical exams covering a range of topics from meteorology, air navigation, aircraft systems and aircraft performance

Step 4:Complete Your Flying Requirement

To get your respective license you must have minimum flying hours on Aircraft including PIC and Dual as per DGCA requirements.

Step 5: Submit Your Documents To DGCA

once you clear all your examination and Flying test successfully , you need to upload and submit all your documents to DGCA office to get your license .
